Bridgit™ Conferencing Software
How do I Start Using Bridgit
This Quick Reference provides an overview of how to conduct a conference with Bridgit software.
In a Bridgit software conference, participants in different locations can view the same information at the same time and collaborate by writing notes and highlighting information.
Preparing for Your Conference
Before your conference begins, ensure that all participants have an Internet connection. Have participants download the Bridgit software client from http://lsibridgit.lsijax.com/Bridgit.exe.
Run Bridgit
Run the application from the place where it was saved by double-clicking its icon on your desktop or use the Start Bridgit button located on the right corner of the page. The Bridgit Conferencing Software window will appear. In Server Name put in lsibridgit.lsijax.com, enter Password password1 and press Connect button.
Joining a Conference
If you will be watching someone else’s presentation, click on the conference name and then select Join button. Put in an appropriate username in Join Conference dialogue box.
Creating or Hosting Conference
To start a conference, click the Create button. Enter conference and user information in the Create Conference dialogue box. You may also choose to add a password for your conference. If you leave the password box empty, participants will not have to enter a password to join your conference.
Collaborating with Bridgit Software Tools
Bridgit’s default settings could allow the other sites:
  • Share your desktop link to share your desktop with other participants.
  • Invite others by clicking the Send Invite link and enter the e-mail addresses of your invitees to send the e-mail.
  • Have their web cam appear as a small box on all the sites’ screens.
  • Limit the shared area to a portion of your desktop.
